Thank you and God bless you
The Knights of Columbus Executive delivered a cheque totalling $912.72 to the Notre Dame Cathedral. The cheque represents 30% of the proceeds from the breakfasts and the July 1st BBQ. In addition a cheque for $500 was given to help support Symon Vezina, one of our seminarians currently studing to be a priest.
The CECCE Council has recognized the generosity of the Knights of Columbus, who for the past 6 years have donated hundreds of coats to families in need in our schools. This year, we have received no less than 204 coats for free from this long-time partner. This is an enormous gesture that has a great positive impact on low-income families and newcomers. Grand Councilor of Council 13781, Notre Dame Catheral Dacky Kilanga is seen receiving the certificate on behalf of the Knights of Columbus.
Every year, starting in November, the Knights collect donations of dried goods and money for needy families in our parish community. Please leave your donations in the container at the main entrance of the church. Monetary donations may be deposited in the collection basket or made at the office (please mark on the envelope that your donation is for the Knights). To register as beneficiaries, please call 2-1-1 or visit the web site at https://www.caringandsharing.ca.
